To Christ Has Been Given an Exalted Position

God is the Father of Christ; Christ is the Son of God. To Christ has been given an exalted position. He has been made equal with the Father. All the counsels of God are opened to His Son. — {8T 268.3}

Consider the exalted position of Him who gave His life for the redemption of a sinful, fallen race. Like His Father, He was immortal. He was the beloved Commander of the hosts of heaven. How sad it is that so many will treat the Saviour indifferently. Thus their eyes become blinded to the eternal realities, and they cannot behold God. They cannot understand that “He so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son” to be rejected of men and put to an ignominious death. [John 3:16.] — {21LtMs, Ms 147, 1906, par. 6}

The One who was exalted above all others in the heavenly courts, as the Son of the Highest, is the One whose hands were nailed to the cross of Calvary. — {NPUGleaner April 6, 1910, par. 6}

Our great Exemplar was exalted to be equal with God. He was high commander in heaven. All the holy angels delighted to bow before Him.  — {2T 426.2; 1868}

He who was made equal with God bore the sin of the transgressor, and thereby made a channel whereby the love of God could be communicated to a fallen world, and his grace and power imparted to those who came to Christ in penitence for their sin. — {ST February 5, 1894, par. 10}
